Theoretical Physics Team
The Theoretical Physics Team focuses on fundamental frontier problems in physics and conducts high-level research in basic theoretical physics, with research spanning condensed matter theory, quantum information, particle physics, and related areas. Over the past five years, the team has published more than 40 research papers in leading physics journals, including Physical Review Letters and Physical Review B.

Condensed Matter Physics Team
The Condensed Matter Physics Team focuses on two major research areas: (1) spintronics; and (2) electronic structures and transport properties of topological and quantum materials.
The team consists of 2 professors, 2 associate professors, 3 lecturers, and approximately 40 graduate students. Over the past five years, the team has published more than 60 SCI-indexed papers, including 2 papers in Nature Communications, 3 in Advanced Materials, 1 in National Science Review, and 1 in Science Advances. In recent years, the team has undertaken 12 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects and 14 provincial- and ministerial-level research projects.

Optics Team
The Optics Team conducts research in ultrafast and ultra-intense laser physics and technology, femtosecond ultrafast spectroscopy and molecular reaction dynamics, theoretical optics and plasma physics, and the optical and optoelectronic properties of nanostructures.
The team consists of 3 professors, 4 associate professors, and 1 lecturer. Its members have been selected for the Hubei Provincial Hundred Talents Program three times and the Hubei Provincial Chutian Scholar Program four times. The team has undertaken 2 General Programs and 6 Young Scientists Fund projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as numerous provincial- and ministerial-level research projects, and has published more than 200 academic papers.
The team's research infrastructure, including a femtosecond laser experimental platform and a high-performance computing cluster at the Beijing Supercomputing Center, provides strong technical and computational support for its research activities.

Computational Physics Team
The Computational Physics Team focuses on theoretical research in condensed matter physics, with particular emphasis on computational approaches to strongly correlated and functional materials.
The team develops and applies computational methods and software, including quantum Monte Carlo methods, to investigate strongly correlated electronic systems such as high-temperature superconductors. It also employs first-principles computational methods to study the structural, electronic, and functional properties of organic and inorganic functional materials.

Physics Education Team
The Physics Education Team is supported by undergraduate and master's-level programs in physics education at the School of Physics, Hubei University. The School has a long-standing tradition and strong foundation in teacher education and the preparation of secondary-school physics teachers. The undergraduate Physics program was established in 1958 and has subsequently been recognized as a National Featured Major and selected as a National First-Class Undergraduate Major Development Program.
The team focuses on physics education, physics curriculum and instruction, teacher education, and research on physics teaching and learning, supporting the development of high-quality physics teachers and educational researchers.
